Why Do I Need Paint Correction on a New Car?

paint correction new car

When it comes to paint correction on new vehicles, the truth is many customers or potential customers get very frustrated. Frankly, that is why we stopped charging a fee for paint correction on ceramic coating projects. But for many customers, the question still remains. Why?

Do I need paint correction on a new car or truck before it gets a ceramic coating?

Unfortunately and surprisingly, the answer is Yes. Just today we had a Toyota Highlander come in for one of our Ceramic Pro ION packages. The temporary tags are still on it and it has almost no miles.

When you look at the mid-sized SUV from a distance it is absolutely beautiful. The color is stunning and the clear coat still has its gloss so it is highly reflective.

It used to be that with a new vehicle the paint quality was relatively high and the dealerships were careful when they detailed it. Granted once you got it under the LED lights, you realized it still needed correction. Today, these vehicles come in looking like a car or truck that has not been taken care of.

We have customers spending a decent amount of money to add a permanent ceramic coating to their vehicles. From KIA to Toyota and from a Mustang to a Corvette, we have customers booking ceramic coatings for every price level of a vehicle.

These vehicles need paint correction. It is unfortunate, but it is a reality. At Auto Detailing 360 and Ceramic Pro Grand Junction, a Level 2 paint correction is included on all packages with a 5-year or longer warranty.
